Young athletes showed their worth in wushu competitions

The City Wushu Tournament and the Championship of the city of Gomel were held at the State State University named after Francysk Skaryna. In the open championship, along with experienced athletes, first-year athletes fought for victory, who showed with great zeal what they are capable of.

72 boys and girls over the age of 6 took part in the competition. Among them, 37 sets of medals were played.

The young athletes put on a real show, in which the fighting movements resembled an amazingly harmonious oriental dance. Young talents competed both without weapons and with dummies of swords, sticks, daggers and pikes.

The tournament was held with the support of the Sports and Tourism Department of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, the Confucius Institute at the F. Skorina State State University, and the Gomel Regional Wushu Federation.
