Confucius Institutes Day in Minsk
On October 5, employees of the Confucius Institute at the State University named after F. Skorina took part in the annual holiday - the Day of Confucius Institutes. The holiday was held in the very center of Minsk - on the square in the Troitsky suburb, where the expositions of four Confucius Institutes - BSU, MSLU, BNTU and our university, as well as Confucius class of secondary school No. 44 of Vitebsk were deployed. The purpose of the event is to demonstrate the knowledge and skills of employees of each of the Confucius Institutes in promoting traditional Chinese culture. That is why traditional Chinese songs sounded loudly in the square, folk costumes were demonstrated, and the mythological character beloved by all Chinese people - the dragon - performed with the help of Chinese students "Dance with a Pearl." The teachers-volunteers of our Confucius Institute (and we have five of them this academic year) under the direction of the Chinese director Wang Lei, tirelessly wrote various hieroglyphs and answered numerous questions of Minsk residents and guests of the city who were present at the exhibition. Yang Zhifeng, a Chinese language teacher who works at the Mozyr Pedagogical University named after I.P., tried especially hard. Shamyakina. And Zhang Rongxuan, a volunteer teacher and professor at the Confucius Institute of the GSU named after F. Skorina, as it turned out, not only performs Chinese folk songs beautifully, but also knows the art of drawing with colored ink on paper in the traditional Chinese style of “go hua”. Other female volunteers also wrote hieroglyphs, skillfully cut out patterns from paper, wove intricate knots and amulets for all comers. Young gomel athletes “ushuists” under the guidance of coach Valery Golda spoke very well to the audience.
The expositions and participants of Confucius Institutes Day 2019 were presented and appreciated by the event, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in our country, Mr. Tsui Tsimin, and Professor A.A., Director of the Confucius BSU Republican Institute of Chinese Studies Toxic.
