International Scientific Conference at the Confucius Institute
The day of October 17, 2019 became one of the most significant in the work of the Confucius Institute this academic year: on this day the International Scientific Conference "Chinese Language and Culture of China in the East Slavic Context" was held, which was attended by more than 70 students, undergraduates, graduate students and university professors , as well as employees of academic institutions from Belarus and China, who submitted 62 reports and communications.
The rector of the university S.A. Khakhomov, Director of the Confucius Institute from the Belarusian side A.V. Rogachev and Director of the Confucius Institute on the Chinese side, Wang Lei, noted the importance of humanitarian research in cooperation between Belarus and China in various fields, wished success to the conference participants.
Greetings to the conference participants were made by Professor A.N., Head of the Department of Theory and Practice of Chinese Language, Minsk State Linguistic University Gordey and Academician A.A., First Deputy Director for Research, Center for Studies of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the NAS of Belarus Lukashanets, as well as the head of the Confucius Cabinet of the State University named after J. Kupala Associate Professor L.M. Middle.
They attended with particular interest the presentation by Cao Chen, graduate of the philological faculty of our university, investment director of the department of scientific and technical innovations at the Great Stone Industrial Park, who co-authored with his colleague N. A. Krukovskaya presented an interesting report "Sino-Belarusian Industrial Park" Great Stone "and modern scientific and technological innovations."
The main attention of the conference participants was focused on humanitarian issues: in the reports of colleagues from the Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Dalian University of Technology, Belarusian State University, Minsk Linguistic University, Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M. Tank, Grodno State University. Y. Kupala, Mogilev State University. A. Kuleshov and Mozyr Pedagogical University. I.P. Shamyakin discussed issues relevant to modern science, such as the mythological picture of the world of East Slavs and Chinese, East Slavic and Chinese languages as carriers of ethnocultural information, as well as literary, cultural and pedagogical traditions of East Slavs and Chinese.
It is gratifying to note that along with well-known scientists, the conference was attended by young researchers, including teachers of the Chinese language in gymnasiums and secondary schools in Minsk and Gomel.
Participants in the international scientific conference "Chinese Language and Culture of China in the East Slavic Context" were able to familiarize themselves with the international traveling exhibition of children's illustrated literature, "The Modern Children's Book of China," which was launched in the reading room in the second educational building of the university.
